16:9 Monitor Not Working.......Strange

Happy Xmas All,

Whilst driving the X5 today my 16:9 monitor stopped working, screen flicked a couple of times and then went completly dead. The radio still works but the buttons seem very slow to respond, stranger still when I press the button for opening the monitor to insert a tape nothing happens then after a couple of minutes it starts to open and close several times and making a loud clicking noise like the gears are still turning to close the screen panel even though its already cosed. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Can I reset the unit someway?
