iPod Ice Link
So I'm thinking of going toward the iPod route with the Ice Link setup. I heard Best Buy is selling these, but I would like to know if someone out here that has one, tell me if this would work with my 2004 4.4i w/ NAV and DSP? Also, would I only have to purchase this, and nothing else in order to get things working?

You might want to consider ordering what you need directly from Dension.

Icelink for BMW is bad ass. I don't have DSP, but it sounds and works great.

i just installed the IceLink on my '05 4.4i w/ Nav and NO dsp. The install was very simple. the sound quality is excellent. I was impatient (bad habit) so I bought the kit from best buy and installed it myself. The installer at best buy wanted to charge me 50 bucks and said it'll take about 3-4 hours to install it. Yeaaaaaaa right, I installed it in 45 mins. IceLink is the way to go.....

I have Icelink for my 2001x5 w/DSP. It is definately the best way to integrate your ipod. It takes a little longer when you have DSP because you have to hard wire the DSP module (radio shack analog to digital converter) to a power source in the trunk. They do send you everything you need for the install.
Good luck! Sean |
