Does the X3 CD player do MP3 CD's

I thought I read a post where someone had purchased a new X3 delivered in the US and it did play MP3 CD's.

Anyone out there recently purchase an X3 and try the in dash CD with an MP3 CD?

Use it as an excuse to get yourself something like the IceLink, aux. input, etc.

What year is your X3? If it is 2005 -- it should (and most likely does) play .mp3s. (unless you have the 6 CD changer).

A 2004 won't.

Does it display the ID3 song tags (song title / artist info)?

Absolutely, the X3 2005 model year plays mp3 CDs. But you must have a 2005 X3 (with the single CD player -- not the 6 CD changer).

The 2004 X3 CD player will not play MP3s.
