Need Help: '05 x5 iPOD install with ice>link plus

newbie here:

have an 05 x5 w/o DSP. It has the navigation and cassette. The dension ice>link:plus hookup was about as easy as it gets (plug in play) however the only display i get is a 2 digit song number on both the cluster and the nav screen. No text, or menu features. At this point i cant scroll through the ipod either (i know the icelink locks out the thumbwheel), so how can i navigate through my music folders?

Will my headunit not support full text or the menu of the ipod? I was under the impression this kit would handle it, however maybe not. I have reviewed all the FAQ, and DIY's however everyone either has no nav w/ DSP, or a cd changer or some different combination head unit then I.

please help. I got this as a gift, and it appears dension's support is non existant.

mike
