06 X5 instructions needed to get in to dash and console

Hi everyone

I tried a couple of searches and found a couple of articles that gave me partial info but I was wondering if anyone had service manuals for the 06 X5 that gives a step by step instruction for getting into the dash and console areas. I am trying to mount a small XM radio unit in my drink holder area with the cables routing back up to the glove box so I can use the aux input and power there. I have only had the car for about 6 weeks so I have not figured out the location of all of the pressure clips, screws, etc. and I don't want to start pulling on things without a little knowledge ahead of time.

Does anyone have or know of a link to a good reference for this?

I have the ETK and found a couple of diagrams of the components but they don't show clip/screw locations or anything.

Thanks for your help!
Dave

Console needs to be removed in order to get into the cupholder area. There's some tips on this on the home page in the Interior section.

Not sure what you mean by getting into the dash area. Do you mean removing the radio?

Yes, getting behind the navigation unit, ashtray, etc. as necessary to fish the cables through from the glovebox area to the cup holders.
