XM Direct

Has anybody tried this in an X5?

The latest X5 listing is an '04, are there any differences between the radios in '04 and '05?
Thanks

Don't know about the differences. My first guess is that the CD changer hook ups should be the same, but that is purely a guess.

I have it in my '04 and it works great. The only thing I don't like about it is the 10 character limitation on the display. I'm not sure how the Sirius unit is, but when you press and hold the INF button, it turns the scroll on. I assume this works with the factory unit, but it doesn't do anything for mine.

If you do order, I would recommend the unit with the pass through capability for future use. I didn't get it, but now I want to add the Ice>Link to my system. I contacted Bltizsafe and they are sending me the cables to upgrade my unit to the pass through so I can keep my XM plus add the iPod. I'm having to pay for them, but I don't think it costs any more up front to get them.
