Aux Interface Alternative

I have a 2001 X5 4.4 and wish to connect my Creative Labs Zen Vision M mp3 player. I know that there are limitations due to the pre-2003 stereo. I do not have DSP/Nav/CD Changer/Cassette...just the basic system w/ single disc CD.

Has anyone had a chance to test the USA SPEC Auxiliary Interface from Crutchfield ($69.99)?

Is this a good alternative?

Thanks

I have it it will work as long as your car is wired for the changer

Picked one up and works well but I have a 6ft cord. Have you ran the aux interface to the front of your X5? If so, where did you pick up the cord? What is the length of the cord?

Thanks!

using 1 input for my sirius star base and the other for female 1/8" jack so I can use my mp3 or Walkman (books on tape) the installer that put in my Sirius unit soldered the cables to get them to the front
