Sporadic Engine Whine (Dice HD Ipod)

Occasionally, I get sporadic engine whine with my DICE-HD connected iPod. Now if I switch to the hdradio tuner on the dice, the engine whine is gone.

The other weird part about the ipod is when it comes, if I turn the radio off for a couple of minutes (don't shift the wires or anything) the whine disappears...

Any thoughts?

Have you tried another iPod to see if the problem persists? Engine noise in these modules typically comes from one of two places:

1. The iPod (and it's connection on both the iPod and the HD module)
2. Module Placement (try to keep the HD module away from body harnesses, modules, etc)

Best of luck, and let us know how it goes...

Try turning the backlight off the iPod and testing again, does this eliminate the whine?
