Dzhoka,

you are talking about Long Wave (as opposed to Short Wave radio) or you are referring to AM (Amplitude Modulation, as oposed to FM - Frequency Modulation)?
Honestly, I have not seen car radios in the US market that would pull the Long Waves or any of the SW bands.

Do you have an overseas/specific market specification car or standard US spec car?

Assuming that you have US spec car and you are talking about the AM, can you lock into a station by manually "dialing" the operating frequency, say, 1200 AM? If you can, then you need to change the sensitivity in your scan search, if you can't - then we need to figure something else out...

Your guess is correct I ment to say AM...
I did and yes it is possible manually scen ..but even I fix sertain station ( let say 740 AM ) it does not give me any sound ( some distortion shshshsh...)
I also tryed several of them ( different stations ) there is no positive results.
I can not fix station in the memory ,at sertain number ..like we all do programming 6 offered buttons.
FM is ok , CD original changer- ok, aux is funcional.
P.S. I played with sensitivity buttons , but not shure if it was by the rules and right way (unsucsessfull..)
thank you for comm..nt

John,
Here's a link from the front page of my offered AM Radio fix:
http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/s...radio-tsb.html

This may or may not fix it: it made mine better for quite awhile,
but it's going fuzzy on me again. (I don't listen to AM much since
Imus was sent packing for political bs.)

And, your local Stlr may not have ever heard of the fix, as it was
years ago. Also, they may charge you for it if your oem warranty
is gone. Worth a try.

If you do regular maintenance: oil changes, brake pads, rotors, tires, alignments, replace worn suspension components, the car can run for good 15-20 years and the V-8 can easily pull 250-300 thousand miles/500 thousand kilometers before the engine/transmission will get tired. Of course, the seats and other interior parts will show wear and tear, you might collect too many dings for your comfort but that is a different story.

In my family, I barely got rid of Ford Crown Vic at 170 K miles, it was half dead; my mom traded her Mistique at almost 90K that died on the dealer's lot, we had some other cars that barely make it past a 100K mark... at the same time, I've sold an E34 small block V-8 with 160K, the car was still running circles around newer cars on the road, I still have E39 with 180K on the clock and going strong...

Your 4.4 will last you to the day that you will sell it, and the next guy will be as happy as you might have been the day you got the car...

Now, while the BMW engineers can make good drivers' cars and ashtrays, nobody ever said that they can make cup holders and sound systems...
Any Honda or Toyota can show them a better cup holder... However, i was not after a better cup holder (even though it would've been nice!!)

Gotta take the bad with the good...
