some newbish questions
My name is Robert and I'm new to x5's, I just recently got a great deal on a 2000 4.4i with dsp, no nav. My problem is that only the front two pairs of tweeters work. I have a friend at best buy car audio so anything they offer i can get for the discount and replaced the door mids with alpine type e's(since I was probably going to upgrade the speakers anyways) but alas, It appears I have a blown amp. My questions is: can I bypass the factory amp entirely if i keep the dsp function off? I found all of the pinouts and it appears that, unless im missing something, all of the high level inputs and speaker leads all head into the amp area in the driver side trunk compartment. What should I do? Any oppinions/advice? Listening to tweeters sucks bad! |

I can't answer your specific question but here's
a good place to start. Look under Stereo. Xoutpost.com - x5tips.htm
