Stage 1 install question

Hey Guys, Just received my Stage 1 speaker upgrade from BSW and will be installing it tomorrow. The instructions suggest disconnecting the battery. Is that really necessary? It's a bit of a PITA to get to. If so, I assume I would remove the black, negative lead only. Is that correct? Any problems with stuff resetting after it is reconnected?

Thanks for any advice.
Don

We recommend it in order to prevent from deep cycling the battery. It isn't necessary, but believe us, it's worth it!

Just pop out your spare tire. You don't have to disconnect the entire battery and remove it, just disconnect the negative terminal.

That tire will break your back, so be careful!

Hey Halston,

Thanks for following up. Diving into a project like this, and trying to tend to my 6 month old daughter while the wife was at work, was more than I expected! Anyway, between numerous baby breaks (feedings, diaper changes, etc...) got the front installed and they sound great! Night and day difference. I'll give the full scoop when I complete the rear install, but so far, so good.

Thanks,
Don.

P.S. Remind Jason to give me a call.
