Sure should - you just have no chance of it playing mp3's.

Tom,

I drive an 02 E53 X5 3.0d euro. My CD changer is nort working and my head unit is displaying " NO DISCS" . However, I checked my CD cartridge and removed and reinstalled it but got the same result - NO DISCS. I also removed negative battery cable to reset but still got same result.

I guess I need to change my CD changer. Can you recommend a replacement ? How much ?

I'd recommend going the iPod route - you can get a DICE kit and an iPod for the price of a changer, with change left over.

The DICE/iPod combo offers much more features and a larger music library than any CD Changer ever could.
