Precautions when removing BM54 Radio

Hey guys

My drivers side front speaker is not working, just cut out when I was driving. So far it randomly works again, mainly after starting the car from cold but then cuts out again after about 5 mins.

I tried the speaker at one of the other connections and fine, no problem, and test the connection and speaker with a meter and no problem there.

Tried a different speaker at the drivers front point and it does not work. I've also tried switching the connections in the plug at the BM54 radio unit, and it would suggest that that channel is foooked. Bugger.

I plan on removing the unit and resoldering the joints. I'm hoping that it is just a dry joint... unless anyone else has suggestions?

Anything I need to be careful of when removing/working on the unit?

///Kam
