Ice>Link Plus problem? High pitched distortion

Hello,

my 3 years old Ice>Link Plus, worked really fine without any problems.
however, it suddenly makes distortion when song contains high pitched sound.
I thought that my speaker was blown, replaced with BSW stage 1, but distortion is still there.
could it be my Ice>Link Plus problem? or my DSP Amp?

Thanks!

Check the gain level in your ILP module, it should be set to 2V.

Tom,

Thanks for reply,

did you mean output Volume?
if so then, it was 2V, but there was distortion also, so I've changed it to 1V to see if this will reduce the distortion.
unfortunately it didn't work. just volume was reduced.

We're referring to the same thing. There could be a chance the processor in the ILP module has failed, do you experience the same issues in AM/FM or CD?

Make sure all EQ settings on the iPod are set to OFF, if there is no change, the ILP module is likely dead. We do have replacement DICE modules if looking to upgrade.

Thanks Tom,

that link is only for module upgrade, right?
so I guess that ILP and Dice uses same cable/connector?
my existing wires will not cause any problems? (such as Engine noise or distortion)

Yes - you can use your existing dock cable/cradle and trunk harness, there's no need to make you purchase these pieces again.
