AUX Listed on Radio

I have a stock radio (no DSP) in an 05' and currently have an Ice-Link hooked up. My radio still shows another AUX when i cycle through the Mode button. Anyone know where this Aux is and if it can be tied into an XM or Sirius module?

Tim

This means that someone had installed an Aux input connector in your car. If the dealer did it, they normally put the 3.5mm Aux input connector in the glove box.

Can this be modified in any way and used for the Ice-Link or Satellite hook up?

AUX is an audio-only in feed - you cannot control from an AUX connection. Hence, no stering wheel control or ID3 text.

If you wish to have a seperate controller, this could work.

Tom, does this mean if you have the BMW aux in and the ice-link plus you would have TWO aux in's?

Technically, no - the CD interface is not considered AUX since you can control from that connection.
