Help with Dice

Installing Dice in 2004 X5 non-dsp, factory Sirius. Hooked everything up for dry run - nothing happens. Not sure how to select cd changer, as I don't have the sound system manual - I selected CD using the audioo button.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I may not have been clear with my question - I selected the CD source with the "Mode" button and the display read No CD. Is there something else one must do to select the CD changer source?

Thanks.

Hi, you should just have to push mode one more time to get it to cycle through, but if it doesn't recognize it while cycling the mode button then it may not have initiallised properly. If this is the case try reseting the car by doing the following;
1. Disconnect the terminals from the battery, negative first.

2. Touch the two disconnected terminals together and hold them there for 5 seconds, there may be a spark don't worry this is normal (*make sure you do this step away from the battery*).

3. Reconnect the terminals to the battery, negative last.

This should reset the entire car and your audio system should begin to recognize the Dice module. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me.

Is the Sirius still recognized? If not, check the mini ATX fuse on the module itself.

Otherwise - the battery reset procedures are critical to a proper installation.
