Installing a Sirius adapter on a '03 X3 with NAV (non prewired)
I was looking around for some info about retrofitting a sirius receiver in an X3 with NAV system, but without any pre-wiring (just checked this with the dealer). I had a couple of questions and was wondering whether someone else managed to successfully install the adapter. 1. Am I correct in assuming the proper solution is the package sold on http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=281 2. If yes, how hard it is as a DYI project? 3. How integrated is the solution? Will I have control over the sat radio from my dashboard/wheel and will I see the station/song info on the nav screen? 4. Anyone else in my situation, who managed to solve this, and care to share their experience? 5. Could I do XM rather than Sirius? (I have XM on the other car and would save a bit on the bundle subscription...not that it would matter with the looming merger). Many thanks in advance for your input! |

Thank you so much for the info! I will order the kit this week, and post updates, in case there are other people in my situation.
