rear compartment sub cover?

hi all - had a quick question...
i have a basic factory system in my x5 and wanted to update with a sub in the rear compartment. i noticed in all of the pics with the JL and BSW ones that they have 'flow-through' type covers for them. Is that something that came with the factory subs for th X5? Because mine is not like that (it's solid) and putting a sub back there will be blocked my the cover...
Any info would be appreciated...
thanks.
a.

The BSW Stealth sub is designed to work with the stock, OEM cover - no cut-out or "flow-thru" version of the panel is used or needed! ~ Works/sounds great, IMHO !

thanks for the info mauikat - i just don't understand though - wouldn't it limit the flow of sound coming through?? I guess if you put a sub in the truck of the car, it still makes it's way through - ok, think i just answered my own question... lol.

The panel is not 'sealed' so it leaks

Also with bass you don't need to have it directly firing at you. The x108 and ib110 sub for the X5 and E46 Vert are my personal favorites. So stealth and GREAT bass!

Thanks for the info Halston. I'm working on making my own stealth box right now (really tight on the budget - wish i could afford the x108) - should be posting some pics and updates soon...
