Intravee???? IPod Upgrade???

(Intravee) I was told this was great if you have Nav. I have an 03 3.0i with Nav w/o DSP. I want to add some type of IPod playing device. What do you recommend and cost?

Intravee is amazing, if you have NAV. Very easy install.

Yes, the Intravee is the best if you have Nav. If not, its pretty pricey.

do you mind if i ask what makes the intravie so much better than the silverline? i was leaning on the dice but after researching on this board, it seems like many users complain about engine noise

The Intravee gives you full access to every song on your Ipod, within the limits of the Alpine Ipod controller, which you must get in addition to the Intravee. You can scroll through all artists and songs, as well as your playlists. The Dice does not give you full access, from what I understand. Its limted to playlists. In addition, the Intravee displays all the data at once on the screen, including artist, album and song name. The Dice gives you a single line display. The Intravee can add XM or HD, although the XM is still a work in progress. It can also control 2 Ipod controllers and two analog Aux Ins, but this requires additional Alpine equipment. If you go to the Intravee web site (intravention.co.uk), you can read all about it. In a nutshell, it gives you more data and more control, provided you have Nav. Its also better without Nav, but the single line display makes the delta cost hard to justify, but it is still a better experience, just not order of magnitude better without Nav. I have also heard of a few issues with the Dice in terms of reliability, but I have no proof, just what I read here. The Intravee is also user upgradeable. I don't know about the Dice. Intravee has great support, thanks to RichardP, who you will see all over this forum. He knows A LOT about BMW systems. The Dice team is also on this forum as well. Oh, one other thing: The Intravee can control an Alpine CD changer, which is good if you care. Frankly, its no loss not having the CD changer. A 30 Gig Ipod holds way more stuff, and its a lot easier to deal with.

I hope that helps!
