Question CD Changer

So, we just bought our 05 X5, and I have a little situation I would like some input on. When we test drove and went through everything, we were told the vehicle had a CD changer in the back (where it should be). Needless to say, we took the salesperson's word on this, and once the deal was done, he mentioned he was mistaken and there was no CD player/changer in the vehicle at all. (Shame on us, I know) This seems like a small item when talking about a 50k vehicel, but we enjoy our tunes!

The dealer is now basically giving us the blow off, even though they said they would take care of it. So, finally, my question...Can i purchase a changer outside of the dealer, that is compatible with my system? We have a NAV system, and I am guessing this may be an easy DIY install? Just not sure what the steps are, what units are compatible, and if there is any type of firmware or software upgrade that has to be performed on the system itself?

Any insight would be fantastic!

Thanks all!
