DSP AMP 65.12-6 905 119

I recently purchased a 2000 X5 4.4i E53 with an after market radio. From my reserch, the orginal amp was not a DSP type, but the MID unit does have an Audio/DSP label on the switch. I purchased a business CD radio on EBay to replace the after market unit, which works just fine. I'm struggling to hook up the Amp wiring having to deal with cut connectors on the missing original amp and the my recent EBay purchase of a 65.12-6 119 905 amp unit. My question is: 1) how do I know if I have DSP compatibility? This is a non-Nav configuration. 2) Are there any wiring diagrams to tell me what the pin outs are from the Amp? 3) Is there any required programming to get the amp to turn on?

if you post you DSP pics I can say its DSP or not.
As aftermarket installed, its hard to answer it was DSP or non-DSP

I tried the web site. Can't seem to find make and model that has the 65.12-6 905 119 DSP Unit. I'll keep searching. My MID has a button that shows Audio DSP. Does this automatically suggest there is DSP availablity? Thanks....Joe

Get a dealer to pull the original build sheet/option list for the car. That will tell you for sure if it originally had DSP. The -119 amp you found would be a perfect fit for your car. That model was used in the E38, E39, and X5 cars equipped with DSP.
