We can do that. We carry Pioneer, but I just brought in Eclipse because I prefer their audio (better D/A, better preamp out) and I think they will be easier to operate (especially with Sirius). The Pioneer D1s I've put in have pissed me off a bit in using with the customers. I think I'll prefer the 5435, which I want to install in my own car next week.
avincar.com Wish I could've bought your Audi... all my capital is tied up in the business...

The D1 install must be a walk in the park as opposed to the OEM integration

Love to hear more feedback on the DDINS. Alpine rep confirmed DD unit is out but you know how Alpines stuff goes - probably will see it next year this time around.
Anyhow, been looking hard at DDINS and out of them the D1 seems to be a good unit - I liked the user interface out of the kenwood & eclipse units. Giving up on the SQ but at least the DVD changer has a TOSLINK out that I can feed to the H701. JDITOM - I've talked to Kenneth over email back and forth a couple of times. Read his posts....he won't butcher your car |

Eclipse is owned by Fujitsu, who makes the Toy and Lexus HU's. Eclipse was the brand they came out with about 15 years ago when they realized no one would buy a $1300 CD player called "Fujitsu Ten" : )
Great sounding HUs, the single DIN units got too "Tokyo-by-night" for my taste this year, but the 2-DIN units are cleaner in design and I think have a better UI than the Pioneer. The Pioneer also has lower end D/A converter ICs, and a 2V preamp out. The Eclipse has a 5V out and 24-bit D/A conversion. They even give a 3-year warranty when dealer installed. And I beleive you can change destinations and such while driving (the Pioneer has a US-only FW version that prevents watching video while driving, which is fine, but it also prevents you from using many nav features while moving, which is a PITA. The unit knows you're moving from the internal gyros - this is not "foolable" by the installer through wiring. It can be fooled by a mod to the Pioneer unit, but it voids the warranty, so I'm not hip to that). http://www.eclipse-web.com/avn/avn5435.html

I should add in here that the car in question has an Icelink and DSP, and at the moment we're not doing anything due to losing the Icelink if we lose the HU.
The Pioneer iPod interface is far inferior to the Icelink.
