Unhappy Centre/roof Mounted DVD/PS1 screen troubleshooting

I have just purchased a 2002 X5 which I am very pleased with apart from I have just realised that the screen in the back doesn't work, or at least I can't get it to work!

I assume it's a factory fitted extra but I can't find any info about it at all. It's NOT the screen that many people have fitted to the back of the head rest but the screen which pops out of the celing. There's a box in the boot on the right hand side that have a small sony DVD player and a draw that pops out revealing a PS1.

The problem I have is the screen won't com out of the celing!?!? Can anyone give me any clue's on how to trouble shoot this. I imagine the screen would come down by pressing a button somewhere but I can't find one! Silly I know, but I'm really struggling without any instructions. I do have a Sony remote control but if I point it at what looks like the IR reciever nothing happens. I've changed the batteries but this hasn't helped.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Stuart

Any success with this? I think you didn't get any help since it doesn't appear to be a setup anyone has seen before (I certainly haven't). Just wondering if you got it going eventually.
