Do Alpine amps work well in X5 or go JL?

Practical experience would also dictate that you say which speakers you were using.

I have 19 years of practical experience and I wouldn't put a 10" in that box... cause it ain't really that big (did you measure it?)

The 8" sub I tried first was a Sony 400W peak (sorry I do not have the exact model and I do not have this sub anymore). The 10" sub I used is a Jensen 10", 450 watts Peak, model #XS-1010, so a pretty basic model. No I did not mesure the volume of the box but the only thing I can say is that I tested both and the 10" rendered better in this same box. Interesting to know that the 8" Sony costed me more than the 10" Jensen. The 8" was already much better than the stock subs. I would certainely not dare comparing my DYI experience with your 19years of professional experience in that domain El-duderino but I am still pretty happy with the modest job I did.
