Quiet Aux Input - how do I fix it?

I installed the Aux input in my 2006 X5 last night and it works like a charm other than the volume must be turned up much higher for the aux than for the CD or stereo. Anyone know how a fix to this? Shouldn't my settings be the same for all inputs?

I have NAV and DSP.

Thanks!!!

I assume you have also adjusted the volume of the device you have connected to the aux input correct ?

While in AUX, press buttons 1-6 to adjust the gain of the input to your desired level.
