Wiring harness adapter doesn't fit
I have an entire system set up and waiting to get put in. The other day when I was going to install my head unit, it seemed like the harness didn't fit. Crutchfield seems to believe it is the correct one. Has anybody else had this problem before? Do you have to hard wire it directly to the wires? Anybody have a wire color guide?

There should be no hard wiring involved. The adaptor does the adapting.
Depending on your vehicle, you want a BMW 17 pin or 40 pin to ISO adaptor. Or are you trying to replace the factory navigation system with a Double DIN? Because you'll find something else doesn't fit soon enough.

No, I don't have navigation with my X. I have the standard BMW business CD (whatever the hell a business cd is
) and I am putting in a single-din unit. I think they just sent me the incorrect adapter. I am going to get another asap. Thanks!! Ben |
