added USA SPEC PA12 BMW dsp Aux in...
I had a USA Spec Aux in unit and a SkyFi 2 XM radio unit in my 330Ci I just sold, but before I did, I removed it all. I was planning on using the SkiFi 2 sat radio in my E53 (with dsp) So I bought a new USA Spec PA12 BMSdsp iPod/Aux in. I hooked it up as per instructions and ran the RCA to the SkiFi 2 unit and when I turned it on, I get worse sound quality than when I just use the fm frequency setting (which is amazingly clear, for some reason, its blowing me away actually). Sound is very quiet and Uber flat. I made sure all audio setting s were where they should be (similar to what I have for a CD) and made sure the SkiFi 2 unit didnt have any settings changed somehow. The sound quality sounds very quiet and flat. I checked with another RCA wire and same exact issue. I will never connect an iPod to the PA12 BMWdsp unit, so I'm only using it to get a feed from the SkyFi 2 sat radio unit. But before I return the expensive (sort of) USA Spec equipment and live with the FM frequency broadcast (which is amazingly clear), is there something else I should try?
