Aux in cable, Europe only?
The article lists a cable # 65 12 0 153 503 . When I look in Realoem.com, that number is available only in the european catalog, it is not listed for US cars. The author of the article is in Europe. But, in the US catalog, they list 61122153331 which looks like a cable that would connect from the 65 12 0 153 503 jack to a Ipod. Does US and Eur cars have different output connectors on the back of the navigation unit, or I can use the 65 12 0 153 503 cable in a US/Canadian car? Here are the references from Realoem: RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 4.8is Auxiliary connection cable RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 4.8is Retrofit, auxiliary connection |

If you have the standard navigation and do not have the Auxiliary Input Jack you will need a retro fit kit to add the Auxiliary Input to your head unit.
This is the kit to add the feature to the head unit. ![]() If you need the cable that goes from the jack to your ipod, mp3 player, audio source, than a standard 1/8 inch jack to 1/8 inch jack stereo cable. The cable you mentioned is available here on our website if you would like the OEM BMW cable. Does that help? ECS Tuning
