Upgrade HeadUnit (Pioneer D1) in 2001 X5 Factory Stereo w/ DSP and no NAV

Hi,

I need some advice from the pro's here

I have a 2001 X5 4.4 Factory radio with no navigation but with DSP. I want to keep the factory speakers, sub woofer, and factory amp. Is it a simple matter of me hooking up the Pioneer D1--to-->BMW X5 wire harness into the wire harness inside the X5 car?

Do I need to make any changes to the factory amp or DSP? I have read that for the 2001 X5, the factory radio passes all audio information to the DSP. Will it be the same case with the Pioneer D1 installed?
