I'm thinking of putting in a 4 channel DVR in the new 40D. Apart from a forward facing camera, I want to pick up the rear, and sides. I'm thinking of trying to put a tiny camera in the side indicators, pick up a feed from the factory rear. Is there a camera in the front? It looks like theres one in the mirror. I have innovations, which has high beam assist - but not lane warning or radar cruise. Does anyone know much about the factory cameras? If I can get an analogue feed, I will put them through a IP encoder, and then into a SSD NAS. As long as its a weeks worth of recording, if I find a dint/scratch when I wash it I can go through the recording and hopefully generate a number plate and head shot of the offender.
