Intravee II ordered....

Hi Guys, I'm excited to say I have ordered an Intravee II kit from ToysInYourCar.com - Home and I will report back when it arrives.
It clearly seems to be the best kit for iPod integration for the old 16:9 E53 Nav/Entertainment systems.
I'm amazed at how many other 'cool' things it can do for the car like closing the windows, sunroof and mirrors with only one button push and not having to hold the button down!

The intravee is indeed cool. I love mine.

I like the coolant temp display option too. Very useful engine monitoring tool.

Also, the data logging is useful for when you drop your X5 off at the dealer. you can see how they drove it while they had it!

i'll have to try the temp monitoring.
Who do you set up the logging and more importantly how to you view the data?

You'll have to delve into the manual for all that. I've never done the logging and a friend set up the coolant temp display.

It's all in the menus, as far as I remember.

You set up the data logging so you can see if someone who is driving your X5, like say a mechanic or lot valet, is abusing it on cold start, driving like a madman during the "test drive to ensure safety" or other nonsense. It's the nanny cam for your car.

Hi badwhip, i do love it!
Is the pxa-h100 worth it? What does it actually give you? I don't have dsp.
No HD radio in Australia, but we do have DAB now...

Hiya.
I have pxah100 in the missus wrx and pxah800 in my e53. I can't compare to other products that do processing but both worked well for us.
If I. was you I would not buy the pxah100/800 unless you have a need to.
We had problems in each car, that the processor solved nicely for us. Smoothing out low frequency response curve and killing some nasty resonant peaks was biggest difference for us. There are better ways to solve such problems, such as bracing, damping materials etc, but I didnt have time or skills to do that.

Where in oz are you? I'm in Melbourne. I can possibly demo for you given enough notice..

cheers
scott

I like the dsp processor for time alignment and 7 band eq to fine tune things.

When you are using the pxa-h100, is the optimum setup to separately amp the tweets, mids, mid-bass, and of course the sub? That'd be 7 channels of amplification...

Since I'm going for a stealth install, I'm going to have to do some research.

The intravee opens up so many options for peripherals like HD radio, PHA-X100 (with Richard P's breakout box), satellite radio, etc., etc. Really incredible that one guy did this as a hobby and made such an amazing interface.

I forgot to mention with the pxa-h100 aftermarket amps are required. also don't forget about the inventor of the intervee Simon. Richard doesn't an excellent Jon at continued support of it making it in my opinion the best add on for ibus cars simply amazing product. I wish I would of discovered it when it first came out. only really discovered it last year.
