Here is how to re-enable Aux ventilation if you installed the V26.09 beta!

If you installed v26.09 and LOST the aux vent. The fix is simple. Just remove the fuses for the instrument cluster for 2 minutes. In the 03 X5 is was fuses 1 43 45. It seemed like 43 did the trick, but I had all three pulled at once so it was hard to tell which one fixed it. Fuses in that car were in the Glovebox.

to confirm martin's advice, the aux ventilation function DOES come back if you just remove fuse #43, however the emergency function does not; the nav unit probably has to be configured back to US mode in order for emergency to be displayed again

Actually taking this one stage further we really need a way to recode the nav comp ourselves, if it is the actual nav comp that needs recoding and not something else like the IKE.

As we play more and more with the OS we are going to have this problem constantly and I am sure repeated trips to the dealers will be a pain for all of you.

At least you guys are lucky enough to be able to go to the Dealers I have no idea what to do about the Kit in my Rover. I long ago lost the ability to toggle the Dolby settings on my Tape drive or switch the TP Radio function on and off! and I have no idea what the Info button is supposed to do!

I would love to be able to do that even if it meant burning a coding CD or writing a string of Ibus commands, whatever

Anyone know what is actually being coded, what are our options?

You could always reset the IKE also, I am sure that would get back the AUX vent.

I wish!

I have a Parking heater in my Car with the normal K-Bus connection when I first installed my MK4 up popped the Aux ventilation menu but it quickly dissapeared never to return, probably something to do with the fact I don't have an I-Bus clock so I can't set the timers etc.

Martin, any idea which fuses in my e39 M5 (and where they're located)? Will pulling the battery for 2 mins accomplish the same thing?

a little off topic, but

does anyone know how to enable the aux heating function? I have the aux vent menu, but not the heat. I think it is only active if you have the cold weather package.
