Question about the version of the GPS DVD

Hello everyone, I'am a new french user, so I will try to speak a good english !
In my BMW GPS system, I had the Nav 2004-1 version. I've acquired now the version 2006-2, and it seems to work very good but I've a question :
on the top right corner of my screen it's always written "4-1", but why ? I've now the 2006-2 version, so why isn't it written "6-2" ?
Sorry for my english and thanks to all !

New American user. I believe that the 4-1 is for MK IV navigation computer software version and not the map version. I could be wrong.

If you are talking about the numbers in the top right hand corner of the SETTINGS screen (4-1/70 in the picture below), that is the version of the operating system, not of the navigation map disk. The navigation map disk (assuming it's an original) will have the version number on the disk label.

Your English was very good
