Help! Nav screen all scrambled
for the past week or two i've been noticing my screen flickering every now and then, it looked like fine lines running accross the screen up and down. I just recently took out my seats to clean them and I unplugged the battery. WHen I went to plug the battery back in, the NAV screen started to go crazy. Its all scrambled now. Sort of like tracking on a VCR or your computer monitor when you deguass it. Any suggestions. i'm really bummed right now |

MK4 Disc Drive, from a retrofitted 2002 X5. I've narrowed it down to the MK4 computer because when I unplug it, the screen is normal and remains blank. When i plug it back in, it starts going crazy.
This is really wierd. I'm hoping I don't need a new one. I don't know what could have done it but for the past week or two, Its like I saw very slight waves in the screen and now when I unplugged the battery, the system goes crazy. I don't know what to do. |

i just tried jiggling the wires in the back of the nav computer and the screen slowed its scrambling, but when i also shook the nav computer slightly it did the same so i'm guessing the computers shot.
