Radio Module Harness Flat Pin-Round Pin

Can anyone confirm that this is the part number for the harness. I just got back from BMW and when I was explaining what I needed, they looked at me like I was crazy. I gave them this part number that I got off of here but the post was confusing talking about siruis and other stuff

heres the number

61 12 6 924 785

thanks guys

by the way - this is for converting a round pin radio connector to flat pin

Actually to upgrade the BM radio from the old version to the new version, you need to purchase these additional adapter cables sets:

61.12-6 913 957 Round Pin to Flat Pin Main Radio Harness Adapter
61.12-6 913 955 New Gen Radio Antenna Adapter
61.12-6 924 785 10-Pin to 12-Pin Radio Audio Input Adapter
61.12-0 140 716 CD Changer Audio Input Cable

If you purchase from someone like Crevier, you be looking at:

61.12.6.913.957 Old to New style radio wiring harness ($33.20)
61.12.6.913.955 Old to New style radio antenna harness ($12.20)
61.12.6.924.785 Old to New style audio input adapter ($15.00)
61.12.0.140.716 (6 foot) 6 wire CD Input cable ($13.12)

wow, heres what i was quoted:

Hello Jon,

I checked the part numbers you gave me and the prices are as follows...

61.12.6.913.957 Old to New style radio wiring harness ($33.20) - $56.28
61.12.6.913.955 Old to New style radio antenna harness ($12.20) - $35.28
61.12.6.924.785 Old to New style audio input adapter ($15.00) - $50.68
61.12.0.140.716 (6 foot) 6 wire CD Input cable ($13.12) - $24.36

I can only assume that the parts you were quoted on are not original BMW parts. If you chose to pick up the parts at JMK, I ask that you let me know at least 3-4 days in advance so I can order what I do not have in stock.

I have to be getting ripped off or something. I was going to order it through them but thats a big difference.

You're getting ripped off. Check with Crevier BMW. I bought mine in 2005, buy my prices were pretty close to apw2607 quoted above. Most local dealers are 75% to 100% higher than Crevier on special parts like these.

Hey Guys!

Everythings working great except one thing. It won't read the navigation instructions. It will slightly lower the radio but no instructions will come out. I plugged in the old radio module and instructions came out. What could be wrong.

I have an extra wire set here. I think its for the changer. I didn't need it because the changer went in fine. I think its the 6-footer cable that you told me to get.

Any suggestions?

well, switched the harness, working like a charm!

But I do have this extra CD changer cable. Anyone need it. I have the reciept. Picked it up today brand new
