I have an E38, with a MkIV DVD and widescreen conversion running the v25 software. I have downloaded the v27.1 iso image but I am reluctant to upgrade until I have a few queries answered. At what point can the splash screen be modified, if I upgrade without this tweek am I stuffed for inserting later (how..)? I have read countless threads on POIs, do we have a definitive method on how to exract/inject the additional information and is this a one time operation? As the UK Safety Camera database is updated frequently, would I be safe to re-burn the v27.1 disc and reload?
