Is it possible to disable (mute) the voice prompts?
Is that possible with the BMW system? I can't find a reference in the manual and all I've been able to do using the menus is turn her way down, but not off completely. Thanks! |

I only have experience with an MKII but if i don't want to hear her talk I move the right knob until the little speaker icon is highlighted and then hold the button down for a few seconds. When i do this the little icon of the speaker has a red cross over it and i have no more voice prompts. Only lasts for the ride though.
Good Luck. |

That's a good start ... thanks!
Hard to believe you can't set that as a default ... but ... |

For X3 NAV Professional MK IV
Hi,
When navigating get the menu by pressing the knob, select "Instruction" with the knob, press and hold for 2 seconds (to mute - you'll get a speaker with a red slash). To have voice again get the same menu, select "Instruction" again and press again. |
