Perspective mode for Australian Users?

Have read quite a few of the threads on upgrading the Sat Nav OS to obtain perspective mode but they all keep saying it only works with the DVD Maps.

As us Aussie users only have our maps on CD, can any Australian user who has updated their OS confirm if they get perspective now? Any other differences?

Currently have V20 on my 2003 Nav so trying to weigh the risk/benefits of an upgrade. Would you say the upgrade risk is worth it?

Cheers

2003 Nav should be a Mk IV. The Mk IV will read either CD or DVD maps, the perspective mode option is Mk IV rather than DVD specific.

If you are running V20 on a MK IV then you should definitally upgrade, to at least V25 if not V28 if you want perspective and the new look maps.

Yes, perspective works and yes, it is worth it.

The other improvements to the way the maps are displayed (anti-aliasing) are worth it alone.
