also one time I saw one of them actually moving towards where my car was, then it passed by and kept on going then it disappeared from my display? when the dod was passing by I saw a car.I thought it could be cars that have nav? maybe?

I believe they are GPS marker points that have fixed positions on the ground. The GPS SATs use them. I see them in the same places where I drive... but they never move out of position!

They are next to my local police station. Or maybe they represent a downtown area. They are definitively not cars, and are fixed objects embedded in the map data... |

they are poi like gas station schools etc. if you search for a school then they will change from those circles to a cap. if you search for a resturant then they will change to the food icon etc. hope this helps.

They are predifined geographic points used to mark the center of cities and counties. These points are read from the DVD in the nav computer.

mine are poi noway theres three or more center of towns etc in the same place.
