NavCoder - my Windows app to code your nav computer

Hi all,

NavCoder - fresh off my keyboard - recode your Mk3 or Mk4 nav from your Windows PC.
Use any IBus interface to connect PC to the vehicle IBus.

Then you can:

Set the right VIN number in a retro-fitted nav.
Set the right Telematics options for your vehicle.
Change the 3 x languages to whatever you want (reloads the OS disc so make sure you have a disc)
Fix the splitscreen not working on radio problem

Might also fix the INFO and SELECT button problem - someone try :-)

Free of charge!

Dutuch language?

I only know the langauge codes for

0 = D
1 = GB
2 = US
3 = IT
4 = ES
5 = JP
6 = FR

I can add other language codes ifsomeone tells me what they are.

To find out, you can read your language code in your instrument cluster when (mine says 01 GB). Tell me the dutch code, I'll add it to the selection!

You will also need to ensure that you have an OS disc with the dutch language files on it.

Cheers, Jochen

Jochen,

Great app!!!

Now, I just have to order I-Bus Adapter and re-program my wife's X5 and she can get the ETA working with US English voice instead of GB English.

Thank you!

Hey KiwiJochen,

I was verifying the code generated by your program and the original post by RolandDV and I have a question. We have E53(X5) and one of the problem that I would like to fix the the Arrival Time(ETA) and NavCoder V1.0.0 does not have that option and according to RolandDV's post:

SHOWING_ARRIVAL_TIME 00000100b
- active 1b //PU 09/03 for E39,E53
- not_active 0b // all except the ones from above

This should have been part of the 3rd HEX bit from the left, where "Telematics" goes, so if I want to get the Arrival Time working on our X5 with Auto Emergency Call, the Hex code should be "06" instead of "02" from your program.

Can you please verify this for me?

Maybe I am mistaken?

Thank you.
