Easy way to add speed camera on Navtech DVD 2007-1
After many try to edit lsc files, changing html, and so on, always ending with a non-working dvd, I manage to add the speed camera more easily. Just choose an existing POI you never use (for example Golf or theater). Look in the lsc file the number of the idx and url file ( Theater is 71 and 72, on my disk and language). Create an idx and html file with asc2idxurl_mk4.exe, rename this file with the name you check before (71.idx, 72.url) and copy them on the disk. It works perfectly. You just have to rename the icon you want with the name poi_theater.png, put it in the Icon folders, and if you are perfectionist, change the name of the item in the lsc file. In france we have a free download for the GPS file for speed camera(www.radarsfixes.com) with a monthly update. Hopping it will help people, Bcoz |

It's an excellent and smart way of doing it.
The only restriction is that you actually have to burn a new DVD twice a month 'cause speed-camera are growing so fast everywhere... That why I keep on using a navirad GPS1 wich cost less than 100€, and is so easy (less than 5') and free to update. http://www.gps1world.com/ ;o) Stf. |
