BM54 for Old connection (replacement for BM24)

Hi all,

I have an issue with my ebay'buy

I've ordered a BM54 module in order to retrofit my X...

I've really received a Bm54 one but for BM24 wiring harness

I'm so dissapointed certainly due to this spare parts was the last module I was waiting for ...

Do you know if there is a harness available to convert this module to BM54 "new generation wiring harness" ?

Otherwise, If somebody want to make an exchange with a Bm54 for pre-2002... (or I accept paypal ...)

Thanks for your help

As nic says BMW do a convertor lead for the old-new, bm54 is the better unit anyway...

Thanks for your help.

So, you are saying that your new gen radio has the round pins in it or you need the adaptor harness, Antenna adaptor and the CD Changer cable to make the round pin harness fit the flat pin radio.

I didn't know that they made a new gen radio with the round pins.

if you need the adaptor i have one for sale with my BM53 radio module.

BM54 only has the 40 flat pin quad lock connector, only the bm24 has the round pin connector.

I'm really serious guys !

I have a BM54 with round pins ... a real one !

P/N is 65.12-6 933 455

My wiring harness will accept BM54 with flap pins only.

Do you think it's dead for me ?

That is something..... Never seen that before. You might be able to buy a 00 x5 dsp and navigation harness. I think that will work for you, because that is a round pin harness.

well, I'm amazed... I think you can still use the bm54-(round) but need the convertor, i have seen one, but can't remember where it was, try your local dealer.

I've just called my BMW dealer...

This special harness doesn't exist in this side

You can upgrade to BM54 (From round pin to flap pin)

but you canno't downgrade (flap pin to round pin)

So I can sell it if somebody is interested !

Regards,
StB
