DVDR+ or DVDR- to make back up copy of 2007-1 HIGH?

Hello!

Can somebody help me with my problem,please..

I have burnt many copys of my 2007-1 High Europe with success, but the last 3-4 times the MK4 cant find the navi dvd in reader..It says:no cd/dvd....

I have used verbatim,platinum and sony dvd-records?
And burnt on nero, imgburn and alcohol 120%
I dont think that the problem is the dvd-records,but perhaps my dvdburner?I have an Samsung extern and an matshita intern on my Ferrari laptop...
i have burnt perhaps a couple of hundred times on my external Samsung...Could it be perhaps that the laser is getting "old"...I have tried both + and - records....

i´m thinking of buying a new external dvdburner..Plextor..And to use Plextor dvdburner only to navi-dvd copys...and the extern samsung to movies and music..

Do you guys use + or - records..Is there any difference.except that + contains a little more space on the disc...

Please,help me A.S.A.P

PS: I dont mean a backup copy of a org 2007-1,except to burn a iso/img-file from a torrent site...

I want to make a copy to my friends bmw with mk4,but nothing works anymore...before it always did?So something must be wrong, and i think that it´s my dvdburner? What do you guys think?Am i wrong?

I burn a new map disc every week, to keep safety cam POIs up to date. I use Immation DVD+RW and I get good results 60% of the time. Some of the failures relate to identifiable errors in the burning process.

I have burnt approx 50 x 2007-1 disks with no failures. I use UltraISO to burn the original DVD to my hard disk, then use Alcohol 120% (version 1.9.5) to burn that ISO image to a DVD. I only use DVD+R - Maxell or Sony.

If anybody in the UK or W.Europe is interested, I have 5 copies of the BMW DVD 2007-1 "High" Europe available for £30.00 (post included), and any quantity of 2007-1 "High" Europe DVD's with the current UK Speed Camera Database (Visual only - no audible warnings) included for £40.00.

The latest BMW V28 OS CD (with full installation instructions) can be added for a mere £5.00.

As you will all know, or can find out with one telephone call to your local BMW dealer, the 2007-1 DVD will cost you around £250... The V28 OS upgrade will be about £86 + VAT.

Just PM me before your environmentally friendly (read terrified of being prosecuted by Blair's Nanny State) forum moderators remove this post......
