Splash Screen Not Showing All The Time

Hi evevybody. With the help from this forum I've changed my splash screen and would like it to come up every time I start the car. But it doesn't. In most cases screen comes up with "Accept" page, in others it's on the "Menu" screen. Randomely it may show up the splash screen. I haven't seen a pattern here. Before I didn't pay attention (didn't care). Now I want it :-)

I have v28 on MKIV, 2006 X3. My initial thinking was it needed to be off for long period of time. But this morning, after 12 hours of parking, it again started in "Accept" page.

What's the pattern here? How to see the cool screen that I made after many trials and errors, and many wasted CDs?

Thanks in advance,
David

The splash screen only comes up while the system is booting. The system only needs to boot after it completely shuts down, which can be several minutes after you leave the car.

Thanks KrisL. If it doesn't come after 12 hours parking, does it mean it didn't shut down during this time? Is it good or bad?

I don't have problems with the system itself, everything works well.

Do you unlock the vehicle as you are walking up to it? As soon as you hit the unlock button, the nav system boots up. If it takes you a few seconds between the unlock and getting in the car, that's likely when the startup screen is being displayed.
