BMW Nav and Restricted Roads

I have a MK IV Nav system and I just got the latest map DVD (2008.1) for North America. A major highway I live near has HOV restrictions (HOV-2) during certain hours of the day M-F. There are no restrictions on the weekends.

Unfortunately, the Nav computer REFUSES to route me down this road even though it is the most direct way for me to get home. Also, it doesn't seem to care if I happen to meet the restrictions (2+ people in the car)!

Is there any way to get the the Nav system to ignore "restricted" highways?

Have you read your navi Manual
and looked over the various settings?

The navigation manual doesn't cover restricted roads (unless I missed it). Also, there is no option to "ignore restricted roads" in my route selection menu. I'm running version 30 software.

Yeah, I did. So, I guess this is a map-specific thing and not a BMW nav thing? I have to wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience. Anyone?
