KrisL's custom firmware v29.1

So... if you saw a previous thread, I released my own custom firmware previously that had a custom startup screen, sky, more intuitive menu text, and the British voice that replaced French. The problem with the British is that since it was simply considered "voice #3", your points of interest were still in French.

I've realized that it's easier just releasing 2 versions: one with the American voice and anohter with the British voice.

I've already modified v29.1 with the same custom startup screen from the previous version:

I am now also using Richard E39's mountain sky picture. I live in California and it looks like the Sierra Nevadas . Looks good with the nav too - I tried his deep blue cloudy sky with the roundel, but it didn't look quite as good in my opinion:

I also modified the text just like I did in my previous old version. It's a bit more intuitive now.

Now, before releasing this...

Many that would choose the British voice are Mini owners. Minis have a separate/different startup screen. Right now, it's unchanged. I obviously don't want to put a picture of my BMW steering wheel for the mini startup... so those with a Mini, what startup picture would you like to see? It'd have to be something that all Mini drivers would like.

Thanks!
-Kris

Hi Kris,
Thanks for all the hard work.
Is the version on your webpage like your previous version
with the British Voice/French POI's? Or, is this the
British Voice/American POI's?
Thanks,
TikiGod

I am curious. Which program are you using to customize the firmware?

Also, can you add your own voices? Like Greek for example?

Is your custom 29.1 on your website? I only see the link for your hacked v28.

Thanks for your efforts--this is a simple though very useful upgrade that I would love to have!!

Hi Kris,

Have you done with this custom V29.1 yet? I'm currently using your custom V28.1 with sunny sky and I really enjoy it. I just saw this and like it better with that mountain sky. Let me know when it is availble to download. Thank you, your custom Nav OS is the best.

I've got it done except no british voice or custom startup screen for MINIs.

Shall I upload as-is?

I have the M3. Can you make one with everything the same, but only change the sunny sky to mountain sky?
