Nav Code Key CD Generation

I have a Series III Nav System in an '01 X5. The first half of my upgrade to V29 went well. The system prompted me for the key cd (or V17 cd). I put in the CD I built with CloneCD, the system churns for 10-15 seconds and spits it out. The prompt remains with no update completion.

I have searched the forums but find nothing specific on how to build the Key CD. I have the image files (ccd, img and sub) downloaded. I cannot get ImgBurn to recognize the format and CloneCD just makes coasters.

Thanks in advance

Steve

I'm told that the key CD is just a little bit of data and isn't in an ISO format or anything else a PC would read. So the burn should complete very quickly and generate a disc that your PC can't make sense of. No idea why it isn't working in the NAV, though.

Solved!

Used a different PC to burn the CD with CloneCD. Worked perfectly - no explanation as to why.
