BMW SAT Nav E46

Hello fellow members, I am hoping that someone can help me.
I am due to book my car in to have the BMW sat nav sstem fitted and I think I have all the parts, but need to be sure:

I have the BMW sat Nav Monitor 4.3 display with cassette,
The Mark 3 Sat Nav computer (GPS)
The Complete Sat Nav wiring loom
The Tv Tuner for the e46 model and finally the GPS Antenner.

Some one said that I will need the BM54 Tuner in order for the system to work. Can you confirm this is the case, and if it is, does anyone haveone of these for a resonable price.

You definitally need either a BM54 or BM24 (older) radio module, without it it won't work.

You will also need an adapter to relocate the aircon controls and the mounting brackets for the Nav computer and radio if you don't already have them.

For the TV to work you'll also need the antenna that goes in the bumper.

Depending on your country, you can also use the Business RDS (Philips PH7851) or the Professional RDS (BM24) These units are both for Non-USA and Non-Canada countries

Both of these are the old-gen with round-pin connectors

US uses a different radio. BM54 uses flats pins.

I'd not recommend the Philips one, it gives you a nasty display like this


and does not support split screen radio/Nav at all (unless KiwiJochen can code it to!!).

Professional is by far more, (dare I say it) professional!

The Business is good for a car with TV and no Nav
The Professional works bets with the Nav system

Initially, I have a similar concerns, since my Radio Module is Phillip 7851 RDS. Can you or Gurus out there provide more tips, advise on this?

Philips PH7851 is the Business RDS model

Professional is made by Becker and model number starts with BE.

The Professional is the best.

I only found this our recently, but there appears to have been quite a few round pin BM54s on German ebay! Even now there is one:

Thanks for the feedback, I read somewhere that PH7851 (or the round type connector) was designed for PI-Bus system instead of the new i-bus, is this correct?
