How to change 4x3 view to 16:9 ?

HI.

I installed in my car de videomodul to watch tv, but i don't see it in correct dimension (16:9) i see it in 4x3. My TFT 7" and it's from original dvd navigation system from bmw x3. Can i resolve this problem? Upgrading
to my dealer....?
