Question HELP (please) X5 after MK4 upgrade have lost ability to go to service mode

I recently installed Bimmernav.com's MK4 Nav in my 2001 X5, upgrading from it's MK3 Nav computer. I appear to be in Euro mode - short distances in yards, etc. which is ok, However, I am unable to use the Info and Select buttons to enter Radio Service Mode and Nav Service Mode. Do I need recoding?

Also, what is CODE used for on the Main menu? It is sometimes available, sometimes not. I can inpur 4 numbers, but don't know what it is used for.

I have wide screen display, non-dsp radio, cd changer, and recently installed bimmernav.com's bluetooth kit if that helps. Thanks in advance ofr any help.

Use either a BMW Dealer or my Navcoder software to program the nav unit to suit your vehicle - this will fix the units of measure and the Info and Select buttons.

CODE is the 4-digit PIN code that you can enter to prevent starting of your car. It is an added security feature, tied in to the immobiliser, and is described in the user manual.
CODE can only be selected in ignition position 1 (engine off).

WOW - thanks so much for you qiuck response, KiwiJochen! I have already downloaded Navcoder and need to get and connect the interface to my X5. Where woudl you recommend making the connection, and do I need special instructions to do the coding?

Thanks again! Neely

Try on the CD changer, or the video module (spare wheel recess) or the radio tuner (spare wheel recess as well)
